The Last Condottiere

In the fractured lands of medieval and Renaissance Italy, there existed a class of warriors unlike any other.

They were condottieri, professional soldiers bound not by blood or title, but by skill, discipline, and reputation. Masters of war, they sold their swords to cities and lords, yet answered only to their own code of honor. What made a condottiere legendary was not his origin, size, or wealth, but his ability to prevail against any opponent on the battlefield.

Strength alone was never enough. Nor was speed. Victory belonged to those who could unite force, technique, endurance, and unbreakable will.

That spirit is called back to life.

On March 7, within the walls of Rocca di Soncino, Magna Carta presents The Last Condottiere, a one-on-one tournament fought à l’outrance.

Combat à l’outrance is the most uncompromising form of medieval single combat.
It is a duel format where fighters engage at full contact, using a wide arsenal of striking and grappling techniques.

Blows may be delivered with weapons and shields, as well as with hands and feet. Wrestling techniques are also permitted, allowing fighters to control, unbalance, and overpower their opponents during the fight.

The duels are fast, relentless, and brutally demanding.

At The Last Condottiere tournament, there are no weight categories.
Agility will face raw power. Speed will be tested against mass. Every fighter enters the lists equal before steel.

Twenty warriors will step onto the lists, each prepared to face the best.
Every fighter will endure multiple bouts on the road to the final, turning the tournament into a true marathon that demands not only physical strength, but mental resilience and iron will.

At this tournament, each bout consists of a single 90-second round. In the finals, however, there are no shortcuts: victory is claimed only by winning two rounds, each lasting two minutes.

Brief moments where fighters give everything they have, knowing that even a heartbeat of hesitation means defeat.

Only one will overcome all challengers.
Only one will stand above the rest.
Only one will earn the title.

The Last Condottiere.
